Manage tracker subscriptions
Each tracker needs to be assigned to an active subscription for it to be able to update location and other data to the platform. The different subscriptions states are: created, active, started, expired and terminated.
When a tracker is shipped it is assigned to an organization. Every tracker subscription has a certain duration after which it can be renewed or will expire if you don't want to use it anymore.
To verify the subscription status of a particular tracker, perform the following steps:
- Go to the tracker's Settings page as explained in this task.
- Click on the "Subscription" tab:

- The state of the subscription:
- Created: The subscription is available but cannot be activated yet
- Ready: the subscription of the tracker is activated but hasn't started yet. It will start either after a fixed period of time, or when the tracker sends a first message.
- Active: the tracker currently has an active and valid subscription. It is allowed to send data to the platform.
- Expired: the tracker's subscription is no longer valid. This means that the tracker cannot send data to the platform. A new subscription needs to be acquired for this tracker to continue using the service.
- Terminated: the subscription is explicitly terminated, not due to passing the expiration date.
- The information of the subscription including its length.
- The auto-renew button to disable or enable automatic renewal of the tracker subscription before the subscription ends.
- the move subscription button to move the subscription to another device when the tracker needs to be replaced.
- The event log is a list of all changes that have been applied to the tracker's subscription in the past.
