Perform basic calculations on a table. This calculation consists out of a group-by
count.
With this action you can group your data in different ways It makest it possible to sort and
analyze data in the platform itself which makes it easier to understand and let you make
faster and better data-driven conclusions.
This function gives you a clearer view on the distribution of trackers over certain
metrics
Group a column
If you configure the columns you can
also select the group-by-count action. This creates a list with a basic calculation.
If you want to go back to the default list, just click the ungroup
button.
Group by date
Group date based columns by day, week, month or year.
Group by duration
Geozone visits can be grouped by 'duration of time'. The duration periods can be defined
manually or automatically. This is how the manual configuration of duration of geozone visit
looks like.
Group by numbers
Allow to group number based info by buckets. Users can choose between 2 types:
1. Automatically: you cannot define the way the data is grouped, the platform does it for
you.
2. Manually: You can define your own way the data is grouped: a max value, min value and
steps in between. The data will be grouped by your own custom settings.
Group by of multi valued objects
When
filtering on a field with multiple values, you have two options when filtering: use all tags
when grouping? yes (default) and No (only filtered tags).
If you choose 'Yes' you
will only get the tags that you selected.
When you choose 'No' then you will also see
the other asset tags that are given to the filtered assets.
For example: When you
filter the asset list on one asset tag (e.g., RTP) and then you set the column settings to
group by Asset tags and choose 'No' for grouping of tags, you will not only get the list
with number of assets with the asset tag RTP, but also a set of other asset tags that are
also given to the filtered assets.
Note: If you want to ungroup the column and display the original table,
click again on the small hamburger icon of the column and select
Ungroup. You can also use the ungroup the table by clicking the
ungroup icon in the grouped table header.
Note: The group-by-column action is not available for every type of
column. Not all column types have discrete values that can be counted (for example:
name).
