Working with filters allows you to quickly focus on a particular subset of your assets,
geozones, users,…
Filters and list search
The Sensolus platform provides different searching and filtering options to make it easy to
create lists or dashboards from a subset of assets or other items.
For all available lists, it is possible to search and filter on the item name (for example:
asset name, geolayer name, alert rule name, flow name, maintenance program name, visibility
filter name, etc. ).
In addition to the simple name filters, a set of more advanced filters is available, e.g. for
the following items:
Asset filters: allows you to
focus on a specific subset of all your assets.
External BLE filter:
allows you to focus on a specific subset of all your external BLE sensors.
Infrastructure filter: allows
you to focus on a specific subset of your infrastructure devices.
Note: One of the most powerful features available when working in
an environment with many items, is the ability to combine multiple filters into a
consolidated view. Combining different filters applies the AND logic for the different
filters on the considered table of items.
How to filter
If you want to filter on a list you can filter in two ways:
Click the Filters button. All fields where you can filter upon are shown.
Select the field you want to filter upon. This field appears as a new filter in the
bar. Now configure you filter (options depend on the field itself).
The fast filter next to each item in every item in the list
Click the button next to the field you want to create a filter upon. This makes
the filter visible in the filter navigation bar. This field appears as a new filter
in the bar, directly configured based on your choice. + (show only the fields
containing this choice), - (show everything except the field)
Save, load & reset filter
Once you have configured a filter using one or more filter options, it is possible to save
that filter with a specific name for later use. This is especially valuable for users who
frequently need to focus on a particular subset of the available information. For example,
if you always want to investigate the battery status of the trackers in a particular
geozone.
To save, load or reset a list filter select the filter icon in the filter bar.
Reset filter: clear the filter that is applied on the table, and go
back to the default list.
Save filter: give a name to the currently active filtered view
(which takes into account the combination of filters, the selected columns and the ordering
of the table) and save it so you can easily reuse it.
Load filter: select an existing filtered view from the list of
previously saved filter views. This will apply the combination of saved filters and selected
columns on the considered table and only list the items that comply to this combination of
filters.
